HIP Intensive Conversation on HIP 6: Undergraduate Research
November 9, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
The “Are We HIP Enough?” retreat this summer was attended by a diverse group of 201 faculty, staff and GAs exploring the 11 High Impact Practices that influence student success. We want to continue our discussions and work on campus around these practices.
Join us for our first HIP Intensive Conversation about supporting and promoting HIP 6 Undergraduate Research on our campus in ARKU 310 on Wednesday, November 7 at 9:00am-10: 30 am with the
program repeated Friday, November 9 at 1:00pm-2:30pm.
Fred Spiegel, Distinguished Professor of Biology and Director, Office of Undergraduate Research has agreed to assist us to organize this conversation. We start with a “showcase presentations” about the practice of promoting undergraduate research followed by directed conversations to generate ideas and support strategies.
