On October 25, 2022, over 70 University of Arkansas employees came together to spark ideas and innovation for online teaching. Global Campus hosted this virtual event to unite U of A educators to join in a day of learning and sharing ideas and expertise. There were three tracks of topics designed for online program coordinators, online instructors, and those who want to incorporate online learning tools and strategies in their face-to-face courses.
Topics focused on developing and improving online learning through design, student and faculty engagement, the use of learning technology and media, and the implementation of faculty peer-proven techniques. Global Campus staff shared best practices and insights gained from academic departments, national organizations, and industry partners.

What your peers who attended are saying:
- Caffeinate your Course because it introduced me to a variety of tools that I would like to explore using.
- The student panel was the most valuable. The feedback about what students like and don’t like in online classes. I have already adjusted my classes.
- I liked hearing tips I could use for my online class. It was interesting to hear what UARK has to offer an instructor for their online course, like animation tools and podcasting.
- Making Better PowerPoints for Video by Dylan Craig and Audio Tips and Tricks for Recording at Home by Jerin Crandell. Both talks were indirectly relevant to the sort of work that I do each day and I found them to be interesting and informative.
