The University of Arkansas Global Campus is gearing up for this year’s Better Online Learning Together (BOLT) Conference, which will feature sessions designed to help educators enhance their online teaching practices. The one-day virtual event on Wednesday, Oct. 23, brings together U of A faculty, instructional designers, and online education professionals to share strategies and tools for creating more engaging and effective online courses.
The BOLT Conference offers an invaluable opportunity to learn from colleagues about the latest tools, trends, and techniques in online education.
This year’s conference will highlight critical insights in online teaching that attendees can immediately implement, such AI’s impacts on higher education, using technology to drive student success, boosting student-instructor engagement, and leveraging the power and versatility of media in the online college classroom. The day will kick off with an official welcome from Cheryl Murphy, vice provost for distance education, at 9 a.m. Throughout the day, participants can learn more about the Global Campus teams that support U of A’s distance education initiatives. These include the Online Student Liaison Office, as well as teams specializing in compliance, technology support, media production, and instructional design.
