TFSC: New faculty Lunch -The Butterfly Effect: Concrete Strategies in Chaotic Times

April 5, 2022
7:30 am - 8:45 am

As teacher fatigue continues to swell due to COVID-19, implementing new pedagogical strategies in our classes can feel like a daunting task. Writing about Chaos Theory, Terry Plachett and Neil Gaiman summarize, “The things that change the world . . . are the tiny things.” Thus, during these unpredictable times, we find it helpful to “think small.” This presentation, then, will focus on the little things we do on a day-to-day basis with the hope that they have a ripple effect in our students’ educational experiences. We will cover simple, practical, and concrete ideas that are easy for anyone to implement. Presented by Matthew Spialek and Meredith Neville-Shepard at the Student Success Center room 349
