If you are using PointSolutions and have students participating but their points aren’t being recorded, the issue may be that the students are participating as guests without signing into their accounts.

This can be resolved by turning on the “Require Participant Accounts” setting. Here is guide explaining it: https://support.echo360.com/hc/en-us/articles/14760984188045-PointSolutions-Enforcing-Participants-to-Authenticate-in-PointSolutions

You can easily identify whether or not this is happening by looking at the device IDs in the unassigned devices section. Any device ID starting with “2F” indicates that the user joined as a guest without signing into their account.

With that said, it may be possible to identify their participation. They may have been given the option to enter their name and email before joining the session. If they did, you can find that information in the reports by going to the Manage tab, expand the course, select the relevant session, and then select reports. Once viewing the report, change the drop-down in the upper right-hand corner to “Results Detail” and make sure all the options are enabled.

That report will show you which students provided their name and email. If you’d like to assign the unassigned results, export the results detail report to a CSV / Excel file. You can then go back to the results manager and use the CSV file to see which device ID belongs to each user. You can also assign the unassigned devices by following this guide:
