Class Collaborate (formerly Blackboard Collaborate Ultra) is a way to create a virtual classroom, office, or meeting space in order to communicate with users on campus or anywhere in the world. This browser-based web conferencing tool allows instructors to communicate, collaborate, engage, and interact with their students in real time with updated features and teaching tools.
What is Class Collaborate?
Class Collaborate allows faculty members to schedule online classes or office hours to communicate with students live or allow the students to watch recorded sessions. Class Collaborate is an interactive and effective teaching tool that is browser-based and does not require users to download a separate launcher which allows users to schedule and record a session right within Blackboard itself! (We recommend using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for the best user experience.)
Web conference participants can see others via webcam, hear and ask questions via voice or instant messaging, and share presentations and ideas using a common whiteboard or by sharing desktops. Sessions are recorded and can be posted with other course materials in a Blackboard course or shared outside of Blackboard as a direct link.
