It is a good idea to back up your session files to a location other than just your receiver from time to time.

PointSolutions features an option to automatically email your students who haven’t completed their registration with instructions on how to do so. It will only email your students with problems, not the ones with completed accounts.

It might be necessary to edit their session files occasionally. When using the quick poll feature of Anywhere Polling you can edit your session data to include question and answer choices for reporting purposes, or you might need to adjust which answer is considered correct.

Want to poll your students without using PowerPoint? PointSolutions Anywhere Polling is the option within PointSolutions that can be used over the top of any other program.  

Instructors can use Anywhere Polling in TurningPoint to poll without using PowerPoint. You can either come up with a list of questions on the fly or prepare a Question List ahead of time. If you have your list of questions prepared the questions will appear when you open and close polling.

In order to see your new courses each semester in PointSolutions, you must first connect them in your PointSolutions Account.

At times it may be necessary for an instructor to share their participant list from PointSolutions with someone else.  In order to do that, it must first be exported.

In the PointSolutions software, each class roster is called a course. A course is a list of participant names, User IDs, Device IDs, and other custom categories. The use of a course allows for detailed reporting on each participant from a session. This allows the instructor to automatically create a list of students based on the information from Blackboard rather than having to add each student individually. With TurningPoint 8, the software automatically updates participants for you each night at midnight and then syncs them the next time you open the software.
