kathryn zawisza faculty photoOctober 7th, 2020, Kathryn Zawisza, Director of Academic Technology and Innovation, gave a presentation on “Using Digital Measures for Annual Review and Promotion” for New Faculty.

You can log in to Digital Measures by going to digitalmeasures.uark.edu. Detailed instructions on using the system can be found on the Digital Measures website.

Dr. Zawisza demonstrated many of the processes within Digital Measures and gave some helpful tips for new Faculty.

  • Be sure to use your @uark.edu email address when logging in.  If you have another UARK email address like @walton.uark.edu, that will not work.
  • Keep in mind that while it looks overwhelming when you see all of those fields, you might not need to fill out everything. Be sure to refer to the Annual Review Guide for your College.
  • There are read-only fields that you cannot edit.  The information in those fields comes from systems of record on campus.  If there is an error on any of those screens, then you must contact the administrator of that system.
  • For Course Eval, there are only three main questions listed.  You can, however, upload more information to that category if you choose to.
  • Grants are a read-only section, that comes from Streamline.  All of your grants might not be listed, however.  If they aren’t, then you will need to add them manually.
  • You can run a Data Entry Report to review what you’ve entered in the different fields in Digital Measures.  You can choose to filter these by date range.  This may help you see if you’ve missed any important information or if anything is incorrect.
  • When you export your annual review, you can export this report as a word document.  It is editable.  It is important to keep in mind that when you edit it, it doesn’t make any changes in Digital Measures.  So if it’s wrong in the Word file then you’ll need to go back to Digital Measures so that it will be correct in future exports.
  • You can even create custom reports which are great for CVs.
  • Workshops on Digital Measures are held the last working Friday of each month.
