Blackboard Learn Ultra has a built-in attendance tool to keep track of which students are coming to class.

Attendance Tool

For each class meeting, instructors can mark whether a student is present, late, absent, or excused. The attendance records for each student appear in a single column next to other grades. On the Attendance page, if students have set up a profile picture, theĀ profile pictures appear so instructors can easily identify students.
  1. Click Mark attendance.

  2. Click Add Attendance.

  3. Choose your settingsĀ and click Save.

  4. Then mark the students accordingly.

  5. An accumulative attendance item is automatically created in the Gradebook.
    Note: Separate items for each class do not appear, only an overall attendance count. This attendance is always out of 100.
