The Blackboard Gradebook will allow you to set up grading schemas. Grading schemas allow you to assign a letter or word to a grade column. Different grading schemes sometimes call for different uses of calculated items in Blackboard. Total calculated items use the total number of points earned divided by the total number of points possible. This can be useful in averaging all gradable items in your Grade Center or just a selected group of items.

If you have a test that you used in a previous semester’s course or that you want to include in multiple sections in the same semester, you only need to create the test once and you can copy it into a different course.
